During winter vacation we encountered the worst snowstorm in my lifetime. This unprecedented natural disaster kept us trapped at home for nearly half a month. No electricity, no transportation, no TV. We almost lived a primitive life as if in pre - historic age. Although the weather was severe, we experienced more love and friendship than ever before. There was a lot of heart - warming stories that happened during that difficult time.

On the Jingzhu highway, a coach carrying about 100 passengers was stuck because of the heavy snow .All the passengers had to get out and wait in the snowstorm until the transportation resumed. The residents nearby invited them to their houses, providing food and shelter for them. In the following days, the passengers enjoyed themselves in their comfortable houses and were deeply touched by the kindness of their hosts.

In order to make sure that people in the storm affected areas had fun and a comfortable S pring F estival, the workers in the electrical department gave up their holiday to repair the collapsed electrical poles and broken wires. Even on New Year’s Eve they were at work in the storm.

Now, the terrible snowstorm has gone. It made me think a lot. Sometimes nature is not so friendly to us, but the friendship and care between human beings can make us powerful enough to overcome any disaster. This snowstorm shows how powerful we can be if we help each other and cooperate. We have reason to believe that as long as we keep close to each other, we human beings are invincible, no matter what serious disasters nature imposes on us.
