Sitting at the desk, I stared at a pile of photos that were taken during this Spring Festival, which brought back sweet memories of happy moments with my family.

The photo I remember the most is one of my grandparents’ in which they embraced closely with much happiness. When seeing that picture, I remember the scene where I took the picture of them at my uncle’s home on New Year’s Eve. When I proposed to take a picture for them, Grandfather sat straight at once and put his hands on his knees. Grandmother tidied her clothes carefully, asking Grandfather if her hair was well done. At that time, Father suggested that they sit closer, we all laughed kindly and whole - heartedly. Then Grandfather approached Grandmother with a smile and put his arm around her shoulder, Grandmother smiled with a little shyness. I pressed the button immediately and the warm moment became an eternal memory.

What an enjoyable tableau. Then I was attracted by another picture, which shows me playing the “Hu Lu Si” (one of the musical instruments that originated in Yun n an Province) at home. Father took it one day when I was practicing on the “Hu Lu Si”. He also recorded several pieces of music I played with the camera. I still remember that when I finished, Father said happily to me that they would miss me as I would not be at home in the future, but they could watch the video and I had a lump in my throat, nodding with a smile. Although this winter was unusually cold, my heart was full of warmth and happiness.

Family is my ascription and haven, every intermezzo and story that has happened in my home are my precious treasures, just like grains of pearls, I will pick them up one by one and thread them into a pearl necklace with all my life.
